Betty Bush’s Backstory Hey there, 80s lovers! I’m Betty Bush, your new mid-day mischief-maker on TV80s, and trust me, I’ve got a wild ride to share before I landed here to spice up your afternoons. Born and raised in the sunny sprawls of Sherman Oaks, I soaked up the Valley vibes early—think pool parties, questionable perms, and a teenage crush on every MTV VJ and KROQ Jock (Richard Blade) I like to Scuba Dive. Life was good until 14, when my family packed up and dragged me to Van Nuys. New school, new scene, but I rolled with it—graduating Van Nuys High in 2013 with a cheerleading pom-pom in one hand and a diploma in the other. Go Wolves!Next stop? CSUN, where I snagged a BS in Communications by 2016. Let’s just say I aced flirting 101 and learned to talk my way out of anything—skills that’d come in handy later. With that degree burning a hole in my pocket, I hightailed it to Sacramento, diving headfirst into the radio world. Rock and alternative rock became my playground—spinning tunes in Sacramento and Fresno, where I honed my snarky edge and perfected the art of the double entendre. “Turn up the volume, or turn me on—your call, listeners!” I’d quip, keeping the airwaves hot.But the Valley called me back in 2019. Home is where the heart is, and let’s be real, it’s where the best 80s throwbacks live. After a few gigs, I landed at TV80s—because, honey, it was this or porn, and I figured I’d save the X-rated stuff for my on-air zingers. Now, I’m here to bring you the best of the 80s with a wink and a smirk.
